WM Group understands that managing groundwater during and after construction can have significant impacts on project costs and timing. We design groundwater dewatering/depressurisation systems for underground structures including building basements, tunnels, pipelines and mines. We also assess potential groundwater drawdown during and after construction to support geotechnical ground settlement assessments. We develop and implement monitoring and contingency plans for resource consent applications to take/divert groundwater for dewatering projects.
WM Group is on the Resource Consent Services Supplier Panel for providing Hydrogeological Services to Auckland Council. We review dewatering proposals on behalf of Council to confirm that effects assessment, monitoring and contingency plans are appropriate to the risk of adverse effects and that the risk of adverse effects on neighbouring buildings, structures and services have been accurately determined.
